Roly poly baby on the move

Cameron is really into rolling around and rolling over now. Makes for an added challenge during a diaper change. Last night and this morning, when I put him down on the floor, he rolled over to his belly. Also, he is managing to scoot around at least a little bit. He got on part of the wood floor that goes into the Florida Room this morning. I didn't expect him to get that far!!! Will have to remember to put him in a more open, carpeted area. Can't believe he's already moving around and not staying where I put him! We'll have to start baby proofing a lot better and making sure that Caleb does not leave hazards around.

Where did the month go?

Boy, I'm surprised I haven't posted in so long. Well, a few weeks ago we had both boys sick with a cold, Croup for Cameron. Last week was all about trying to get things back in order around the house. So, I guess that does bring us to the last week of another month.

In some ways it's busier as Cameron is a bit more active when he is awake and in other ways we now have the benefit of parking him in a "play center" for at least a few minutes of time. Over the weekend he took some real solid naps and so that let me take care of some things too. Totally forgot to upload new pics, oops!

We now have the green light to try cereal with Cameron. I have twice prepared rice cereal and enthusiastically offered it to the little guy. He has played with it on his tongue and grinned back at me so far. I don't know that he has really eaten any of though. So, it has not given us a breakthrough of sleeping through the night. At least we are back to one feeding in the wee hours and so that's good at least.

Caleb has taken to saying "How about me?" when conversation revolves around Cameron for too long. He's still feeling neglected some times but seems to be behaving a little bit better. And he is eager to talk to or play with Cameron. Cameron of course just watches everything he does with amazement and awe. He looks so eager to get down and play.

Our daycare will soon gear up for their "school year" to begin again and I think she will have desks for Caleb and his friends. So, he will get a taste of school and we'll see how that goes. Hoping maybe this time next summer to be getting ready for the voluntary pre-kindergarten for him. Can't believe and yet looking forward to maybe having a savings from paying for full time daycare!!!

Hope everyone is doing well. Take care.

One more shot

Cameron had a follow up shot this morning. He did very well and only cried a little bit. Next month will be a bunch of shots all at once again. It's an afternoon appointment though so he'll be able to come home and just relax the rest of the evening.

I had the nurse weigh him and he's now at 13 pounds, 2 ounces. :> That explains why the size 1 diapers that go up to 14 pounds were starting to seem a bit small. I had already started to put away some of the smaller newborn baby outfits because they were seeming tight. It seemed like time was going so slow and that the little guy wasn't getting big all that fast. Now all of a sudden he's already outgrown things.

He's a very alert little baby and just loves to stand on your legs and look at you with big grins. He also likes to try and grab your face. His latest new talent is blowing spit bubbles and that seems to amuse him a lot.

Big brother Caleb is doing excellent with his potty training. I guess we could almost say that we are there with it as most days he is staying dry all day. Still some oopses but that's to be expected. He actually came with us to the doctor appointment this morning. Note to self to remember an activity bag next time!!! He was taking the doctor's rolling seat for a spin around the exam room. Thank goodness it was a quick visit just for the shot with the nurse and we didn't have to wait on the doctor.

Well, of course I've missed several hours of the morning and now need to get to work! Hope everyone is doing well.
