Cameron is definitely going to follow in his big brother's footprints I think. In the last few days, he's been a wiggling, wriggling little guy. And his hard work paid off today as he rolled over at daycare. My provider just called me in surprise saying that he rolled over and was snoozing on his tummy. He's been like a bucking bronco to change his diaper lately and now I can only imagine that rolling over will make it even more of a challenge. I guess he's in a hurry to get bigger and get moving.
Meanwhile we are also potty training Caleb. Oh my! Busy times for the 4Cs.
Going to keep this short for now. Will write more soon.

FINALLY new photos!
But this post will be short. Cameron's patience for Mommy being on the computer is shot. He wants out of his bouncy seat right now he's telling me. At least I've got some new pictures up. Even one from this morning of him sitting up with his Boppy pillow and chewing.
Well, gotta run!!!

Growing baby
Well, little Cameron is starting to become more aware of his world around him. He's gotten very good at giving big smiles to everyone. Just in the last few days, he'll turn and look at you as you are holding him up on your shoulder. Big brother Caleb loves to say, "Aw look at that smile!" when he's sitting down somewhere. And Cameron often looks up at his brother grinning and in awe. It's wonderful to see them bonding. I know there will be plenty of sibling rivalry still to come but watching the bond beginning is wonderful.
Cameron has been using his hands to put his burp cloths up to his mouth for lots of chewing. He's also trying to grab at things just a little bit. He reaches out to grab necklaces and things while being held. While sitting in his high chair the other night, he wanted to grab some of his toys, I could tell but he couldn't quite get his hand to work as he wanted. Soon I'm sure.
I've noticed in the last day or so a bit of a drooly grin coming. Could we already be getting ready for some teething? I know it may be a bit soon but we do have lots of chewing on the burp cloths too. Well, I guess we'll see.
Still sticking with two wake ups around 1 and 5 but at least they've been pretty consistent despite different daily routines. Perhaps as we get more into the third month, we'll see this shift a little more to some longer stretches. All in good time.
Caleb had been getting in some trouble at daycare for hitting and throwing things but perhaps we have nipped it with a focus on having a "smiley face day" to earn a smiley face sticker for the calendar. Last weekend he got a new Playdoh set for all of the good days he had and for sitting on the potty a lot. He was most fascinated with his lobster scissors for cutting the playdoh.
Well, I should finish this up for now. Maybe if I don't promise to post pictures, I'll actually get a chance to upload some. Hope all is well for everyone.
Take care!

Sleeping better
Well, my saga about sleep continues. I think we are in a better place now, seem to have a bit of a routine of 9pm, 1am and 5am, give or take a half hour or so. I know as soon as I say this it could change but it's been holding for a few nights in a row. Even last night after a sleepy day yesterday. Getting up just once in the wee hours of the morning is a nice improvement over every three hours. I will gladly take it. Even got to sleep in a bit yesterday morning as Carey got him back to sleep after the 4:30ish feeding.
Of course as Cameron stays up more during the day, it can be a challenge to figure what to do with him. He can't really play or do much just yet. When he gets "tummy time" he really wants to push and scoot across the floor so we are definitely working on moving as soon as possible. Sometimes now in his bouncy seat, he leans forward as though trying hard to roll out of the seat. His big brother is probably inspiring him to want to get up and move and do things. Caleb teased him the other evening saying, "Can't catch me!" I told him to just wait. We talk often about how baby brother isn't big enough just yet to do many things.
Caleb has sometimes taken to tell us that we have two babies. Then he'll lay on the floor and say "Goo goo ga ga" and things like that. We've told him that we are so glad that he's a big boy that there are so many cool things that he can do. But we also make sure to give him a big hug and extra attention.
We are attempting to get things going a bit more for potty training. Trying to get Caleb on the potty a few times a day. That probably is partly why he wants to be a baby still. But, maybe soon we can get there and eliminate one set of diapers and pull ups to buy all the time.
Hope everyone is doing well and is enjoying the beginning of summer. I swear I have been meaning to post new pictures but the time just races by on us! How is it already Monday again?
Take care and talk to you all soon.

The all night sleep was a fluke
Well, it would appear that the effects of all the vaccines are what caused Cameron to sleep all night the other night. But, there still might be the promise of full night sleep in the near future. I think that Cameron might be starting to move towards eating a bit more at a time. Yesterday we had a few 5 oz. feedings. And, he does seem to want to have a bit of extra food around 8ish before drifting off to sleep around 8:30-9. A bedtime may be emerging. Of course it varies when he wakes again, usually between 11 and 2.
So, we continue to wait and see. It's still very, very early in his little life so I know that the time will come that we will be looking back on this.
We do seem to have made some progress from the crying fits that would occur when riding in the car. Yesterday we made an hour long trip to Deltona with him sleeping. On the ride home, he only awoke and cried a little bit after we made a stop in Daytona. (Knock on wood) we have not had the crying fits on the short drive to daycare either. Maybe he's learned to adjust to the car seat.
Big brother Caleb is a happy boy as daycare has now returned to the fun summer activities like water day. This should hopefully balance the separation anxiety that might come as some of his friends stop coming for the summer and/or move on to pre-kindergarten.
All in all, things are good. Hope everyone is well.
