I know it's probably a fluke and not yet the norm but Cameron slept all night for us without waking up. BUT, he also had four shots yesterday and a vaccine by mouth at his two month checkup. He had a rough day at daycare but did okay for us in the evening. Lots of holding by Mommy seemed to help him feel a bit better. We also let him sleep in the swing just to try and help ensure he could sleep well. He's getting big for the swing though and so we really need to keep using the crib, even if he wakes up a few times. It's promising though to see that he can do it. So, maybe we're not too far away from it becoming a habit.
Cameron's checkup went well overall, he's now 11 lbs, 3 oz. All his measurements show good growth. He did well with the doctor and even was laughing and smiling as he finished up playing with him a bit. So, we'll just have to see what today brings for the little guy.
Caleb is doing well too, getting used to his baby brother and being more and more curious about him. We are hoping to start working on some potty training in the next month. But, a few of the kids from daycare are leaving and so I am wondering what the change will do for Caleb. Some of them are friends that he often talks about. I'll be watching for some separation anxiety at least because he's done that before with similar changes. Thank goodness for summertime activities though that may keep his mind off of it.
Well, I know I am way overdue for updated pictures. I must confess that this time around, we probably are already taking less pictures because it's just so busy day to day. Hopefully over the weekend I can get some good shots. Maybe even catch one of Cameron's baby grins.
Hope everyone is well! Take care!

Ode to sleep
Most of you out there reading this had a good night's sleep last night. You know, you just don't think too much about it and take it for granted when you are able to sleep a decent number of hours in a row. When you don't, it becomes something that you are very, very aware of.
I know that some babies sleep the whole night through right when they come home from the hospital. I do not have one of those babies. And I will not lie to people and say that he is sleeping through the night. I will certainly admit that I am a walking zombie.
However, it is amazing how you can adapt. Somehow one can get by with much less sleep than they ever thought they could. And thankfully, adorable baby smiles do help to sustain one to smile and get through the morning.
I have a list of life advice posted at my desk at work, my current mantra probably would be "However good or bad a situation is, it will change." I know at some point, we will cross over that line into the stage where Cameron can and will sleep all night. There will be times that we will backslide with teething, illnesses and such but there will be a time that this will not be the norm. I know with Caleb I could look back and it seemed such a short time in the greater scheme of things. It just seems like you will never, ever sleep well again.
Other than the sleeping situation, Cameron is doing well. Growing good, growing out of some of the tiny clothes already. His two month checkup is next week and he'll have some more of his shots. Poor little guy. One positive sleeping situation is that we do seem to be successfully using the crib now at night. Aside from his eating schedule, he's sleeping pretty good in the crib. Yay!
Big brother Caleb is doing well, still hungry for attention but he is adapting pretty good. Thank goodness for the bouncy seat that I bought which allows Cameron to hang out with us during playtime in Caleb's room or in the kitchen when dishes need to be washed. Caleb is a caring big brother and does try to help with things like calming Cameron when he wants to cry in the car (hates the car seat sometimes). He tried to bring me the bouncy seat last night so we could bring Baby Brother into his room.
Well, I should probably get going. The return to work is going fairly well as they have been going easy on me so far. So much has happened around here in six weeks!!!
Hope everyone is doing well. Will post newer pictures soon as I can.
Take care,
CC
